About me

Matty Sami is a pen name. My real name is Mette. Where does Matty Sami come from? Well, in Denmark we have a beloved character called Mette Vuns which sounds like the Danish phrase Med det vuns which is slang for right away. I think most Mettes have been called Mette Vuns as some point or other in their life, I definitely have been. OK but that still sounds nothing like Matty Sami, what are you on about? Patience now, I'm getting to it. Mette sounds a bit like Matty. In fact, it's what I'm often called when people don't know how to pronounce my name. And Same sounds like the Danish samme which means right away. Get it?

All you need to know about me is I'm a kaleidoscope of interests, experiences, and habits that make me me. Right now they consist of knitting, sewing, my day job in marketing, my past living in Melbourne, my time studying Arabic, and my present living in Copenhagen.
